Given LEVC is a company specialising in electrified London taxi's we can all be forgiven for not knowing too much about them and having questions!

We've compiled a handy list of 5 frequently asked questions about LEVC to get you up to speed!

What is LEVC?

LEVC stands for London Electric Vehicle Company, founded in 1908 and based in Coventry, they have been producing the iconic London black taxi for over a century. The Coventry factory is the UK's first sustainable manufacturing facility, thanks to a significant investment from the Geely Group in 2017. LEVC are working on exciting new products such as the L380 that is soon to be released.

What is the TX and what are the benefits of its tech?

The TX is essentially an electrified version of the iconic black cab commonly seen in London and cities across the UK. 

The Ecity technology in the TX allows you to travel anywhere with range-extended electric power. The zero-emissions capable technology reduces running costs and gives unrivalled range flexibility.

Other features include Wheelchair ramp, hearing aid loop, Braille signage, seat swivel, Panoramic roof and an incredible drive. Just to name a few.

 

Will you be offering servicing for existing LEVC owners?

Servicing and warranty support will be available from Murray Group’s expansive Brixton workshop, both for current owners who purchased elsewhere and our new owners going forward.

We strive to ensure that our support aligns with the operational demands of your fleet, guaranteeing your taxis are back on the road swiftly and efficiently.

Where is LEVC Plymouth and Cornwall based?

LEVC Plymouth and Cornwall is based in Ivybridge just outside of Plymouth. It has a large external forecourt with a selection of used models and an inside showroom with brand new display models.

The service department is in Brixton no more than 10 minutes out of Plymouth, close to Plymstock where our Kia dealership is also located.

What are the warranty intervals and service schedule?

The new TX has been designed and rigorously tested to meet the demanding requirements of a purpose-built vehicle. The drive battery is protected by a market-leading, five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, and every TX is also covered by a fully comprehensive whole vehicle warranty for three years, or 120,000 miles (whichever is sooner).  Service intervals are 25,000 miles or yearly.

All non-wearing components, from motors to ball joints to bushes, are covered against manufacturing defects for the full duration of the warranty – which means no unforeseen repair costs and a hassle-free ownership experience. They also offer an extended warranty of 5 years or 150,000 miles at an additional cost for extra piece of mind.
