The Murray Group is a family owned business and has been representing Volkswagen and Škoda in the South West since 2001. In 2022 the group acquired Rodgers of Plymouth adding Kia and Hyundai onto the portfolio, then adding them under the Murray Group name in 2025.

Our showrooms can be found in Newton Abbot, Plymouth, Plympton and Brixton epitomise everything we believe a modern dealership should offer. Our state of the art facilities offer a complete range of sales and service facilities, new and used car sales, Motability, servicing repairs and MOT, tyres and much more.

Kevin Murray is the longstanding Managing Director of Murray Group and is proud to head a business that employs nearly 250 people in the area. He believes it's vital to have the right people in the right positions and then invest heavily in their training and development.

Aisling Willman

Aisling joined the Murray Group in August 2007, she is married and lives in Ivybridge, before moving to Devon she worked in the Finance team for Universal Pictures in London for 10 years. Aisling completed a Higher Business & Finance diploma at Cambridge College before starting her career in finance in 1992. Aisling believes working for a retailer in the Volkswagen Group, Kia and Hyundai brands, with their strong products is one of the best reasons for working for the Murray Group.

Keri Brisley

Keri Brisley joined the Murray Group in April 2004 as a Personnel Administrator. Since then she has completed several CIPD Qualifications and has held the role of Group HR Manager since 2009, as of 2025, she is our Group Head of People and Organisation. Keri believes that the success of the Murray Group is due wholly to the people we employ which is why she continues to enjoy her role after 20 years’ service. Outside of the office Keri can often be found supporting her children in a myriad of sporting endeavours or enjoying good food with family and friends.

David has been in the automotive industry since April 2004, and his favourite thing about the job is helping happy returning customers! When he's not at work, David enjoys watching Liverpool and water sports.

Martyn started in the motor industry as a parts apprentice on the 1st June 1976, after 36 years working for a Ford franchise he saw the light and joined Murray Volkswagen & Škoda in January 2012, he has 3 grownup children and 1 granddaughter and lives in Wellington in Somerset. Martyn believes the atmosphere and positive attitude of the whole team is what makes Murray Newton Abbot a great place to work and do business, he is very proud of their achievements which that have made Murray Volkswagen a multi award winning retailer year on year.

Dave joined the Murray Group at Newton Abbot in 2012, having started in the motor trade in 2002 as an apprentice within the Volkswagen group. He is a strong believer in Volkswagen as a brand, he loves achieving the goals set within the business and believes the secret to their success is the team he works with. Outside work he is a massive movie and live music fan and enjoys socialising.

Adrian joined the Murray Group back in 2006 making him one of our longest employees! He enjoys working within sales and the results that come from a great team to work with. Outside of work Adrian spends his free time with his family or playing Golf. He is also a big music fan and likes to attend gigs.

Mike Bailey

Mike joined the Murray Group at Newton Abbot in 2006 and was promoted to his current role in Plymouth in 2012, he joined the industry in 2000 after a number of years electrical testing. Prior to that he was in the Royal Engineers serving in Germany and the UK. Mike has a huge belief in the Volkswagen product and that belief alongside the confidence he has in the abilities of his colleagues are two great reasons to work for the Murray Group.

Ryan Dawson

Ryan joined the Murray Group in May 2011 as a Sales Executive and progressed to the role of Business Manager at our Plymouth Volkswagen Retailer. He went on to spend 6 years working for VWFS, managing the relationship between VW and Skoda retailers across the South West and the brands. Having maintained a close working relationship with Murray Group, Ryan returned to us in March 2022 as Group F&I Manager before stepping into the Head of Business role here at Murray Skoda.
