1. The 8.5 comes with an AI assistant!

The IDA interface uses the Chat GPT AI as an in-car assistant allowing you to set temperatures, sat nav destinations and much more by use of voice control.

For example you could say “Hi IDA, I’m cold” to turn the heating up without taking your eyes off the road.

2. The Match trim makes a return to the Golf family

The extra value “Match” trim level comes with Metallic paint,  17” Nottingham alloy wheels, rear tinted windows, keyless access, high beam assist and a rear view camera as standard saving £2285.

3. The GTI is more powerful than ever!

With the release of the Golf 8.5, the GTI now comes with a power output of 265ps or 261 BHP. 

That's an increase of 20ps or 19 BHP over the previous model.

4. It's the Golf's 50th Birthday!

First going into production in 1974, 2024 and the 8.5 generation mark the Golf's 50th year in production.

A feat many models in the industry never hit!

5. The Plug-in hybrid has a significant all electric range

The plug in hybrid Golf has a combined range of 88 miles in pure EV mode!

This means many typical journeys can be made without using the combustion engine at all.
