5 Things You Didn't Know about the New Touareg

The Touareg was Volkswagen's first SUV model on the market and since it's introduction in 2002 has made a name for itself as a well priced and practical car that competes with much more expensive luxury SUV's.

Now in it's third generation with a recent refresh the Touraeg has more tech, tricks and new features than ever. Read on to learn about five of the best of these features put together by Jordan from our sales team.

First to have the illuminated VW roundel

The new Touareg was the first in the Volkswagen family to have the illuminated logo as part of the rear light strip. 

This feature has since been rolled out across the range.

There's a fast one

The Touareg R eHybrid has an impressive 462HP and goes from 0-60mph in 5.1s.

It blends the incredible perormance the R family is known for with more space and practicality than other models wearing the R badge.

It has high-tech steering

The Touareg has an all-wheel steering system that reduces the turning circle by over a meter!

Making it much more nimble and easier to manoeuvre in tight carparks than traditional SUVs.

It makes life easy when carrying cargo

The rear of the car can be lowered by 40mm for convenient loading and unloading.

It has night-vision!

The new Touareg has night vision that can detect heat signatures and warns the driver of oncoming people or animals.
