Learn more about the ordering process for ID. Models and how it differs from the rest of the range

The ID. family are Volkswagen's range of revolutionary electric cars, with a wide range of options from the ID.3 hatchback to the ID.5 SUV.

They're just like any other Volkswagen, but electric! 

Where the ID. range differs is the buying process:

How is the buying process different? -  The largest difference is that all orders are directly through Volkswagen UK, this means that regardless of which retailer you buy your ID. from you can be sure you're getting the best price as prices are standardised across the country.

Part exchanges are still welcome however it will be the retailer buying the car and not Volkswagen UK. Beyond this most other aspects are the same as your typical Volkswagen buying process.

Can I still purchase my ID. model through Murray Group?

Yes! Whilst contractually you'll be buying the car from Volkswagen UK, our Murray Volkswagen sales team will still be on hand to support you through the entire buying process and aftersales such as servicing and maintenance. You'll both order and recieve the car through Murray Volkswagen as you would any other vehicle.

Will I be able to test drive a vehicle?

Yes, Murray group will still keep a fleet of ID. models as demonstrators to allow you to experience and test drive the cars before purchasing. This new sales model does not change the ability to offer test drives.

Can I still part-exchange my existing vehicle?

Yes you can, however it'll be Murray Volkswagen buying the car from you separately to the purchase from Volkswagen UK. You can then opt to use the funds against the purchase of your ID.

Will the vehicle be delivered to my home?

Volkswagen UK will deliver the vehicle to the branch where it was ordered and we'll do the handover. If you'd like home delivery this will have to be arranged with Murray Volkswagen ideally before delivery.

Will my vehicle be delivered any quicker when I buy direct from Volkswagen UK?

No, there are no differences in delivery timeframes regardless of if you order directly from Volkswagen UK or through Murray Volkswagen. There are no physical changes to the build and deliver of the car.

How do I know I'm getting the best price?

The benefit of this sales model is that pricing is consistent across all retailers, wherever you are in the country. No travelling, shopping around or negotiating. You can be sure you're getting the best price no matter where you're ordering your new ID.
