Monday 31st October saw sites across the Murray Group awash with pumpkins, spooky bakes and even the odd werewolf, as our colleagues got stuck in with our annual Halloween fundraising activities for Plymouth Children in Poverty. We challenged our teams to cook up a storm and bring in their Halloween themed baked goods, carve the creepiest pumpkins and don their most frightening fancy dress and they didn't disappoint!
From Valley Road's spectacular costume effort, to Bake Off worthy cakes and a raffle that saw our lucky colleagues winning some amazing prizes, it was great to see our teams getting involved in the fun and raising money for such an important local charity. Funds raised at Newton Abbot will be donated to a charity of their choice in the local area.
For the fiercely competitive amongst us though, the real question is:
Whose pumpkin will prevail?
We've got our favourites but the ultimate winner will be decided by a very capable group of judges from the School Council at St George's C of E Primary. Watch this space for updates!
