Congratulations are in order for Michelle!
Today was, we hope, a great day for Rodgers of Plymouth customer Michelle, who drove away in her brand new Hyundai Bayon this afternoon.
However, this was a handover with a difference thanks to Devonport Royal Dockyard Sports and Social Club!
The club, which has been running since 2009 is staffed entirely by volunteers and runs independently from Dockyard employers Babcock.
The club aims to support dockyard workers, their families and the wider Plymouth community to access sports and activities at all levels - from grassroots club sponsorship to Olympic hopefuls.
One project of note is the monthly lottery, open to dockyard workers. They are given the opportunity to sign up to a monthly lottery payment and are then eligible to be in with a chance of winning a whole host of fantastic prizes.
Not least, the twice yearly opportunity to win a monetary contribution towards a new or used car from a Rodgers of Plymouth retailer.
As you may have guessed, Michelle is the most recent winner of the lottery - the first time she's won in 32 years of working at the dockyard as a Naval Architect!
When asked what led her to opt for the Bayon Michelle says:
Michelle was initially looking at Approved Used cars but was impressed with the affordable price point of the Bayon, which, when considering the array of features, made it amazingly good value for money.
Rodgers of Plymouth are extremely proud to have been working with Devonport Royal Dockyard SSC since the conception of this project and we look forward to welcoming future lottery winners to Murray Group retailers.
