Celebrations continue at our Kia retailer

More congratulations are in order as Workshop Controller Chalkie 'chalks up' 26 years with Rodgers of Plymouth.

It's been a week of celebrations at Rodgers of Plymouth Kia, as we've seen not one but two significant work anniversaries!

For Workshop Controller Paul - or Chalkie as he's widely known - 12th August marks an impressive 26 years of service at our Brixton site. He came to us in 1996 as Quality Controller on the day of his son's 8th birthday and since then, his career (and no doubt his son too) has continued to grow.

Chalkie says that despite harbouring thoughts of becoming a carpenter when he was at school, he was always destined to go into the Motor Trade. His dad was in the automotive industry and he fondly remembers spending many a childhood day in and around workshops. So, he undertook his apprenticeship and the rest is history!

He tells us that there have been a lot of changes during his time with the Rodgers team but the fact that there are so many colleagues who started at a similar time and are still with us is testament to the positive working environment.

He says:

There is definitely a family feel. We have all got to know each other extremely well and there is lots of support for new and existing colleagues. I believe in working hard, playing hard and living life and being here at Brixton has allowed me to do just that. I love it!

Huge congratulations to Chalkie and thanks for all of your hard work over the years. Cheers to another 26!
