Skoda and Dogs, The Perfect Match

We all love our furry four legged friends, but did you know Skoda loves them too?

The Skoda model range is geared towards making the everyday easy, and part of everyday are the people, things and hobbies that we love.

Where Skoda go the extra mile is for our furry friends with everything from dog specific accessories through to partnerships with key organisations that work with our canine pals.

Read below to learn why Dogs love their owners' Skodas and why Skoda themselves love our dogs!

Dog-friendly design

Skoda's ethos when designing a car is to be as practical and useful as possible making every drive a relaxing one, which extends to our pets.

Across the range Skoda's have class leading boot space and a smooth, soft ride which is perfect for keeping your pooch comfortable whilst travelling with enough space for beds and blankets or even dog crates to keep them safe on top of all the things you might need to bring along!

Dog specific accessories

For all models except the Scala, Skoda produce a pet accessories pack which includes a dog guard to keep your dog in the boot whilst on the move and a rear bumper protector and boot mat or rubber protector to help dog-proof the boot of the car.

There is also a rear seat 'dog-hammock' protector if you like to have your pet up front with you and dog safety belts which help keep your pup secure in case of any accidents.

Partnership with Dogs for good

Skoda has recently partnered with Dogs for Good, a charity that trains dogs to help people for a variety of reasons. From assistance dogs that can help disabled people with everyday tasks to companion dogs that help improve the wellbeing individuals and families with specialised needs such as autism and even dementia.

This partner ship included the donation of two Kamiq compact SUV's to help the dogs get used to car rides and help staff get the dogs to various training sessions.

The Happy Hounds Playlist

Skoda teamed up with canine behavioural expert Anna Webb to put together a special playlist to help dogs be even more comfortable in the car.

It helps to relieve potential anxiety in your pooch by being full of songs that have a slow BPM, calming tones and repetitive sound.
