Murray Volkswagen takes on some special trainees
As part of our partnership with Plymouth Children in Poverty, today we welcomed a group of Year 5 children to our Millbay site, to give them a taste of life as a Murray employee.
PCiP, are asking local employers to volunteer their time to help with their newly expanded Millfields Trust Widening Horizons project, in order to showcase the wealth of employment opportunities for children across the city. The project aims to get children to experience a variety of different workplaces 'hands on', to make them aware of the diverse career paths available to them.
The children were offered the chance to try their hands at valeting a car, producing a CitNow video in our showroom and experience life as a technician in our workshop.
Ably assisted by our wonderful colleagues, the children were guided through the different business areas and were able to talk to our team about their routes into careers with Murray Group.
It was a hugely fun and educational morning all round and it's safe to say that there are definitely some automotive superstars of the future out there!
